Our K–2 Winter Wonderland was absolutely incredible! ❄️🎉 So much fun and high energy with our little Mustangs — dancing, music, friends, pizza, drinks, and nonstop excitement. They’re truly little balls of energy… they run, run, run just like Run Run Rudolph! 🐎✨ A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make this event such a big success! ❤️

The MVES Archery Team had a very successful weekend, bringing home FIRST PLACE in the Elementary Division at the Rocket Winter Blast at RCMS! The Mustangs were led by Kholer Carpenter with a score of 238, and Beau Adams with a score of 235! These Mustangs took First and Second place respectively in the elementary division! Destiny Reynolds led the ladies with a score of 207, and took third overall in the elementary division! Other honorable mentions include five other archers breaking the 200 threshold! These include - Jason Doan (205) - Kyndall Benson (204) - Dexton May (201) - Mason Lunsford (200) - Kinley Hunt (200) Tanner Brock Mason, Andrew McCoy, Cace McClure, and Konstantine Mardis also put up some impressive scores! As a team, our Mustangs beat their highest score from last year, which was a tremendous milestone and huge evidence of growth! We are so excited for the rest of the season!

Brick Mobile is in the building—literally! 🚧🏗️ Founded in Georgetown and inspired by the creative vision of Dacian Keaton, Brick Mobile grew from a simple idea into a hands-on engineering experience for kids. The company is owned by Duane and Dacian Keaton, and after twenty years of teaching in the Fayette County School System, Duane now brings his passion for learning and building into schools across the region. This week, MVES students are diving into Duane’s “Tumbling Towers” lesson, where they learn how tall buildings are constructed, explore the basics of structural integrity, and get insider tips for building with LEGOs. Then comes the big moment—the tower tumbler test! Today’s record? A towering 46 inches that survived five full seconds of shaking! 🎉 Every class, K–5, will get hands-on time with Duane throughout the week. ✨ And don’t forget! Join us Friday, 4–6 PM at the Farmer’s Market (108 Richmond Street) for a FREE family LEGO play event—thousands and thousands of bricks waiting to be built into something amazing. This month, RCS’s Leader in Me focus was Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind. Our MVES Mustangs—and our entire community—have been putting this habit into action. The end in mind was feeding thousands of members of our Rockcastle community. Students donated food for Kenna’s Kitchen, and FRCYS students helped count and organize the donations. High school students prepared food before the event, and many volunteers helped cook, pack boxes, and deliver meals. RCS is truly a community of leaders.

These girls have grown as players, built character, learned the lingo of the game, and shown what it truly means to be dedicated teammates. From showing up to practice, giving their time, and pushing themselves to get better each day—they’ve done it all with heart. We are so proud of each and every one of these girls.
