Rockcastle County Schools is excited to welcome Mr. Matthew Brown as the new Assistant Principal of Mt. Vernon Elementary School! 🎉 Mr. Brown brings over 15 years of teaching experience at RCHS and has served as Assistant Principal at Garrard Middle School for the past three years. We’re thrilled to have him back in Rocket Country and know he’ll be a great addition to the MVES team! 🚀

Today we honor our assistant principal, Mr. Anthony Coffey, as he retires from MVES! Thank you, Mr. Coffey, for your leadership, dedication, and unwavering support for our students and staff. Although the weather didn’t cooperate, fourth grade students still had a fantastic day at MVES! Students rotated through various rooms for a fun and creative indoor “field day” experience! After lunch, we wrapped up the day with more activities in the gym.
